I asked a fellow attorney today if the ACLU would be defending that father of 5 out in CO who got ratted out on by the drug-dealing prostitute.
Interestingly, he dissed the ACLU (a first), so I think the DNC is distancing themselves...

Neither. The ACLU fights for the Bill of Rights. If you think this is a bad thing, perhaps you need to move to a place where civil rights are not important (Somalia comes to mind).
The DNC is just a political party. They are the same as the RNC. Perhaps this year, the RNC has a few more immoral characters than in previous years. It sort of swings both ways.

The ACLU is the biggest threat to American society there is. Look at the founders of the organization and the association they came from. You will find their agenda was total Socialism.

Well, between the gross corruption at capitol hill (i.e. Abrahmoff), the alleged pedophilic Foley, the alleged racist/mysogynist Allen and the alleged gay preacher/Bush advisor, there seems to be a lot left to be desired in your "moral and just" arena-- maybe before you start pointing fingers you might want to figure out what went wrong in your "Religious Right"

Er, you are aware that the Repubs want to take your civil rights, right? The ACLU fights for rights, whether or not they deserve it.

Hmmm....I would have to say the GOP is more of a threat---with all the pedophilia, mistress-beating, gay/drug affairs, lobbying scandals and generalized corruption, even satan is cringing in disgust.
