I'm not a doctor, but I think it's fairly accurate. I've had two ultrasounds at around that week of my pregnancies and both were correct. I'd definitely get another opinion (or look) at 20 weeks or later just to be sure.

The sex organs differentiate at 12 weeks, but they are so small and still share similarities. At 15 weeks LMP, you can expect
75% accuracy. Even at a 20 week ultrasound, technicians make mistakes, though the rate of accuracy is up to 95%. If you want to be sure, check out Gendermentor.com, they have a 200% money back guarantee using a non-invasive test.

the best time to find out the sex of the baby is between 21 and 25 weeks that is the most accurate one, but some docs with a GOOD eye can tell earlyer.

i understand that's complicated attempting to stay calm till you come across out. i became that way and that's my 2d new child! do no longer positioned too plenty stalk into the chinese language gender and different gender prediction exams. they are actually not all that precise. i will tell you a sprint I discovered from my first being pregnant and now this one. Boys do no longer make you as ill as women do, so in case you had a great style of morning disease that's in all probability a woman. in case you're particularly cranky or moody, that's in all probability a boy. in case you crave candies, that's a woman. i do no longer understand why those issues are, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it hasn't been with in basic terms me. I had a boy in 2007 and am having a woman in Feb. and my acquaintances have had the comparable issues ensue with each and each of their's. that's exciting to wager nonetheless. Congrats.

depends on how clear the shot was.

I had an ultrasound very early because they wanted to check something - and with the way she was positioned - you couldnt NOT tell she was a girl.

sometimes they tell you its a boy cause they think they see a penis which turns out to be the umbilical cord between its legs.

you just dont know until you are in there and the machine is running!

good luck.

They are pretty on the money by the 12th week. I had mine at 11 weeks and determined a girl and was correct. The doc said he may not be able to tell because it was not the 12th week, but he was able to after all.

My doctor told me the best time to determine a baby's sex is about 20 weeks, but it is possible to tell sooner I just don't know if it is as easy to tell.

If the ulatrasound tech. can tell you what it is they will. If they say they can't tell for sure, then believe them. They know what they are doing. Most have been trained well and won't say for sure unless they are sure so just ask them. They usually don't do them quite that early though because it is harder to tell when the baby isn't as developed yet.

hiya i found out I'm having a boy at 17weeks and it was pretty clear.
boys are easier to see than girls ( they have obvious bits to look for )
the clinic i went to tells you from 16 weeks so id say you have a good chance at finding out as long as baby is in a good position and the technician is experienced enough to be able to tell
good luck hunni x x x x
