I have self-proclaimed Republicans in my family and they have they will not vote Democrat, but instead just stay away from the polls.

No. they'll feel that it's an obvious liberal Democrat ploy to discredit the evangelical christians that form the base of the Republican party.

At this point, no.

Anybody supporting the Neocon hijacked Republican party is operating on either faith or delusion, not on thought. Ted Haggard is nothing unexpected. He will probably drag his confession out as long as he can in hopes the election will push him off the front page. Today he said he purchased illegal drugs from his male prostitute but didn't use them. So we have to assume that he is a drug dealer at the least.

After a while he will use the ubiquitous political cant "It's time to put that behind us..."!

Excuse me did the president himself go and tell him to became involved in such a sitution? Did the president even know before hand? That's like saying gee I was your friend but your friend's with someone that just committed murder so I won't be your friend anymore.
