Lots of money and a crooked lawyer usually settles such a situation.

In the event that you feel it was a miscarriage of justice you can always get a lawyer and have it reviewed by a higher court. Just because someone is a judge don't think for a minute that they are fair, it has been my experience that it is all about political motivation or the almighty $$$$$ DOLLAR $$$$$. Best of luck.

There is nothing you can do. This was small claims court, not a trial with a jury. That is why you have a trial with a jury at least you have 12 people ruling to make a decision. In small claims, you have 1 person ruling to make a decision. Even though you thought his ruling unfair, there must have been some evidence that tipped the scale in the other person`s favor. And if you went to small claims and lost, I seriously think the case would be thrown out of a higher court if you tried to appeal the ruling, not to mention the money it would cost to try to do this.

A lot of things aren't fair. I don't think there is anything you can do about small claims though. You can call the court house and ask. Your case should have been presented at the hearing and that is the only time you have to do that. If the judge disagrees with you it could be by law and not laws are fair>>>

In small claims court there are no appeals. The judge made his decision, and you have to live with it. If you were afraid of loosing, you shouldn't have brought up the suit in the first place.

Just because you feel it is unfair doesn't make it unfair. The judge must have had some valid reason to rule against you. Of course, you can fight it.

I believe you can file an appeal but if it's going to cost you more fighting the claim you might not want to waste the additional time and time off work.
