It was buried in a recent bill, and most congressmen voted for this without ever knowing about the cancellation of the IG office. The Inspector General is the office that investigates and prosecutes all of the waste, fraud and abuse that has been going on with the failed rebuilding of Iraq. They've caught billions of wasted dollars and prosecuted at least a handful of people.

Who thinks that this will make the national news tomorrow? Or, is it more important that we hear about Tom Cruise's new UA Studio deal and Madonna's adopted child?

You sure got that right about burying this story in favor of some celeb news! I heard Paris Hilton broke a nail and is going to sue someone!

This is one of the many crimes perpetrated by this Administration and that will hopefull be called out by the new Democratic congress in January. Why isn't there more outrage about how trillions of OUR tax dollars and the taxes of generations to come have been wasted and stolen!? The huge, ginormous profits of private companies like Haliburton and others have reaped strictly on war profiteering are TREASON! Dick Cheney should executed in front of a firing squad for his thievery. They've executed traitors for much less. WHY WON'T AMERICANS WAKE UP TO THIS??

if we are scared, we are easier to control - im not saying they did it on purpose, i dont think they are that clever

im saying either they are taking advantage of the situation, or they are paranoid bcos they messed up and desperate to retain power (they dont want us to vote them out)
