Last time I looked, England is a country, as is Wales and Scotland not to mention Northern Ireland which are all registered at the UN as individual countries. They are part of the official place called The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. This can be seen on the outside cover of the passport and on the official page of the passport right by the warrant which is printed on the inside cover of the British Passport.

I would suggest that you take a look at an up-to-date copy of an atlas, please!

Ummm Yes! Someone hasn't studied their history very well! LOL....... If it wasn't for the U.K. we the U.S. would not exist! That is why some of the states in the east coast is called "New England" The original 13 colonies. At that time people living there considered themselves Englishman. In 1776 we declared ourselves independent from England and became the United States of America.

England is a nation in the United Kingdom.

Think about this: Europe, or continental Europe, anyway, is becoming a United something or other. Union of European Economic Commonwealth, or whatever.

Some day, people will be asking, "Is France really an official country?"
