I am not sure that endogamy is a form of racism, since they do not practice it because of their dislike for other cultures.

But who knows..... perhaps it just depends on the individuals?

Not necessarily. Endogamy can also relate to not marrying outside ones region of origin, social class, profession, etc. Thus, the decision is not strictly race based. Even if it is race based, it's not necessarily racist. Making a choice to only marry a person in your own race isn't racist.

endogamy is not racism....endogamy is a preference for one of your own culture.....irrelivent of race.

its about ethnicity and ethnicity does not equal race

take that from a girl who is of cajun ethnicity

ps i married outside my ethnicity, and i appreciate that some aspects of my marriage would be easier if i married within my ethnicity (ie..shared religion, shared values, etc) but it wouldn't be nearly as fun)

It's just a matter of preference. You do have to spend the rest of your life with this person, people pick what they like, which is often what is most familiar to them.
