SSD question?

Question

My disability case is in Federal Courts system.
It was filed in April 05. It hasn't been seen by the judge yet.
How long does it take b/f the judge gets a case to review?

I first filed in 2001. Went to a hearing in 2003. Was turned down by the judge b/c-I sat still in my chair & the judge said, "IT seemed like I was in no-pain."
The it was filed in Federal Ct. in 2005.

My case took two years from the time I filed until I was approved by the judge.That was a few years ago and the wait time then to get into court was about 6 months,but that was local court.I would imagine that federal court would take longer.I know how long the wait can be and how financially hard it can be.Even though it isn't what you want to hear,you just have to wait your turn,there are alot of other people in the same situation.

My case has been going on since May 05. The case has been assigmed to a judge. I had a talk with my attorney, I can't wait much longer and we actually got into an argument over it. He apologized to me and then wrote a letter to the judge. Then I finally got a date in Jan. So, it takes soooo long. All the offices are backed up and it can take 2 yrs. If you are having financial problems like foreclosure notices or serious things like that sometimes the Lawyer can get the Judge to look at it sooner. So, just hang in there and wait if you can. Sorry. Then you get nothing for the first six months after you filed! What's that about. My sister-in-law passed away and didn't get hers. I told my brother to ask them if they thought she was disabled now?

it can be painstakingly slow. I got rejected twice, then had to wait another 6 months for a court date. That brings my total wait time from when I first filed to the court hearing to about 1.5 years. You should be getting very close!
