You are so narrow minded I am surprised the tiny brain that you have has got enough room to move around in that tiny head of yours.
Not all homeless are there by choice. Not all homeless are idle or lazy. Not all homeless are drug takers alcoholics or mentally ill.
I was homeless for 12 months whilst I was waiting for rented accommodation which I now have. The local authority have a long list of those waiting for a home, but housing shortages sometimes leads to a person becoming homeless.
Whilst homeless I knew of several people who held down steady jobs earning their living, paying their taxes, contributing to society!
Until you have experienced it or even researched it don't get knocking the homeless because you might find that being homeless wasn't their choice in the majority of cases.
The reason for my homelessness was that the ex girlfriend I was with was being very unfaithful as I caught her with another man 3 days before we were due to get married.
I made a success of my life setting up my own travel information business and am now a successful travel writer, does that appear to you as laziness? Bone Idle. Get off of your butt and do some research into a problem before you knock it mate! You could be the next homeless person. You can never tell what waits for you in the life pathway.
Q. Were you being bone idle to use spell check as some of your spelling is slightly under par!

I've seen it all, too, and many of them do have mental health problems and alcohol and drug dependency. With some of the younger ones they are escaping from extremely abusive environments and believe they have no other choice.
Perhaps there are a small percentage who have chosen to live on the streets because they can't be bothered to fend for themselves and get a job, but I've yet to meet one. And wouldn't that make you question their sanity in making that choice in the first place?
Being homeless is an awful life for anyone. No one in their right mind would choose sleeping on the streets versus the stability of a regular place to stay.
Also, other circumstances can force a person onto the streets or into insecure accomodation. I cannot describe to you the despair and hopelessness that goes on in a person when you realise that you are in that position and how difficult it is to rise from that, regardless of attitudes of people who lack a necessary human ingredient called compassion.
Have some grace - you are fortunate that you are not in that position. I hope you never are.

Like everything else in life, it's circumstancial a la for every addict who'd rather support their habit than a home there's a single mother who couldn't get that third pay slip from their third job on time for their eviction lot while trying to support childcare and nitty gritty like food and clothing.

There are a lot of normal everyday people who were just one paycheck away from homeless and they weren't as fortunate as the rest of us . So if you just wanted to slam some one that doesn't fly with me .
Some are single Moms with small children or even family's who had extremely bad luck .
Please have a heart .

I know many homeless people that aren't so lazy that they would leave glaring spelling errors in their yahoo questions! Don't accuse others of being lazy if you can't even spell BORN!
