Yes-if I really loved them. But at the same time if they really loved you would they ask?

Hello,
Actually this is a really good question. The only way I would have anyone sign one is if I was 100% that later on finding out they were only in it for the $$. I would feel the same if they thought I was in it for the same. But if you love that person, and they had what they did before you came into the picture I would say NO, guess I can be old fashion.

First of all, I don't have nearly that many posessions or that much money to make a difference if someone took half of it or not. LOL And second, I understand the sentiment of a pre-nup, but to me it just says "WHEN we divorce" and I don't like having the option of a "back door" in my marriage. When I said "till death do us part", I meant it.

It depends. ONLY you should answer this question for yourself because you are the one who knows the person that is asking you to sign it.
1. Is it because he comes from a very rich family so there maybe "a family thing" about it.
2. Is he extremely older than you that he feels insecure about your intentions?
3. Or is his money self made and he is just trying to protect his pockets if He decides to bail out.

The first two yes, sign, if he falls in category #3, get out now, he is already looking way too far past the wedding aisle and has doubts about the marriage.

Tough to say. Maybe if there was an insane amount of money involved. I know it's relative but I could understand it if a person wants to protect millions or family mansions. Not so much if it's just a piece of paper to say "you get nothing when it's over".

I'd not only sign one...I'd be the one writing one up for HIM to sign..lol. I've been burnt once before. I'm not really looking to ever get married again..but if I did...this go round I'd protect what's mine as I just worked far tooo hard all of these years (and by myself) to get what I had ...sounds shallow but then so be it.

Yes as long as it was fair and took into consideration the lenght of the union.

Yeah sure.
I'd make sure it said exactly what I wanted.
I'd only sign if I agreed totally.

Sure I would never marry for anything other than Love so it wouldn't matter to me.
