Why do you think it can be strange thing? Do you feel that India only belongs to Hindus? If not then there is nothing strange in being a Muslim and Indian Nationalist. It seems you have forgotten the names of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Col Shah Nawaz Khan, Zakir Hussain, Fakruddin Ali Ahmed, and our President. They were/are all Muslims and Indian Nationalists and there are many more whose names we do not know or I have missed. So I think you should never feel that it is strange to be a Muslim and an Indian Nationalist.

It is privilege to be Muslim in India because India is democratic rather than being a Indian Muslim in Pakistan, they are Mujahir and second level of nationality like Hindus there.

I salute you. Did you read APJ Abul Kalam's "Wings of Fire"? Can there be a better human being, a nationalist, a man of religion and spirituality and a man of conviction and humaneness than he? All that he is to-day, is because of his religious background and his piety. How I wish the Hindus in India, shed their prejudices , which make people like you say that it is a strange thing. May your tribe increase.

No its not, Infact Islam teaches us to be good citizens. TO be far from corruption, do good to the society, work for social wellfare are some of the Islamic teachings in this regard.

I am a Muslim too and an Indian (proudly). To love ones's motherland is not a sin. And If you are a good muslim then you should work for the development of your country.

You should be proud of yourself that "YOU ARE AN INDIAN'. Even you are muslin you are suppose to proud of that too because President of india, Dr. Abdul Kalam is a muslime and a nuclear scientist and he is also really proud of being an indian and a muslim.
So don't be ashamed of that.
