I have read a TON of different opinions about the best time to go to Walt Disney World in Florida. I have a trip scheduled for mid November (12-18). If you have been in that general timeframe, how was it? Weather? Crowds?

Yes, this is a very good time to go. You will have lower humidity, which makes standing in line much more bearable. It will be less crowded. (but be prepared- it is Disney World, so it usually has quite a few folks there).

I have been in early May, it was already humid, and crowded.

I have gone twice in Sept. (we took a risk and hoped for no hurricanes-we won!) The weather was nice- the first trip it was cloudy every day, but never rained, this year weather was fantastic with only one day of rain, but it was at night when we were ready to leave anyway! I know in Sept. the crowds were so small that when we showed friends back home our pictures, many asked, "Where are all the people?" We never had to wait more than 15 minutes to get on any ride, and we never even used a fastpass!

I am going back again this year, in the first week of Dec. to see the Christmas decor.
I think you will have a great time. Just relax, and enjoy yourself. Be flexible, don't be afraid to stop and enjoy whatever interests you.

Have a great trip!

As a lifetime resident of Orlando, I have been to Disney every time of the year. My personal experience is that November and December are the best months to go. If you can find someone with a Florida ID to purchase your tickets, they have a great deal for Christmas. It starts in November, infact I think it has already started. Last year it was $38 per person. 7pm to minight. No crowds, no lines, weather is perfect. You can literally walk onto the rides. The weather in November will be warm during the day and cooler at night so bring jackets. I hope you have a great time. Check out Universal Studios theme park while you are there. They have a host of different attractions for all ages. Have a great time and if you have any more questions email me. sissybugsfl@bellsouth.net

We have been there 3 times, twice in the last week in October, once in November.

The weather for us was perfect, in all three trips it rained once in each week and not hard or for very long each time. We are from the New England area.

The crowds are not bad at all, when we go we take my son out of school for the week to avoid the vacation rush. Believe me it is worth it.

We would rather go in the cooler time of the year (80 - 87 during the day 68 - 78 night) than swelter in the heat or deal with long lines during peak times.

We have been 8 times with our children. I have been in summer, spring, fall and winter. I can promise you that you have chosen the best time of all to visit. We will only visit there from October through December. The lines are shorter, the weather is good, the crowds are less and the condos are cheaper. Wonderful time to go. Be sure to check out Old Town too, it's on Irlo Bronson Ave. Take in a dinner show or two. Go, have fun and believe me, you ARE going at the best time of the year, lucky you! Enjoy!!

I got back from there last weekend. Stayed in Kissimmee, FL, about 5 miles from Disney World. Crowd isn't an issue at all during off season--trust me, I was in Disneyland last year during christmas and lines were many times longer. Weather was nice...warm, about 85 F. By the time you're there, it should be a few degrees cooler. Enjoy!

The best time to go is between November 19th and November 11th. I hear otherwise the weather is terrible and the crowds are outrageously large.

Mid January through mid February crowds will be lowest. The third week in February starts the spring spoil weeks which will run March and April and there'll be a large number of people. the cost of apartment automobiles will also bounce in this time and doubtless room charges also. the elements must be outstanding you'll elect a lite jacket contained in the evening and each and every time you bypass you'll elect a rain jacket.

That's probably a pretty good time to go. It is usually crowded around Christmas and Feb/Mar for the spring break.
