Hiya Jennifer M!

I've sold a lot of stuff on eBay. Here are some tips:

-Make sure your title describes the item for sale as much as possible (space is limited though). Sellers usually find items through searching, so make sure everything is spelled correctly, or else they may not come across it.
-Describe the item in detail in the listing description and encourage buyers to ask questions.
-Use good photos in your listing. Unless the item for sale is a book, CD, movie, or video game, chances are it won't sell without a photo.
-Keep prices low enough to encourage buyers, but not so low where you end up making no money. Buy it Now is also a good option to add.
-Shipping worldwide can bring more buyers, but it can also cause more confusion with higher prices, customs declarations, lost mail, etc.
-Accepting multiple forms of payment (i.e. PayPal, money orders, personal checks, cash) can also bring more buyers, but I advise against accepting personal checks or cash. PayPal is the most convenient, and anyone is capable of making a money order.

Hope these help. Just remember, your items may not always sell the first time. I've had to relist items over and over again before they finally sold. Good luck.

What kinds of things are interesting to you? Are you an expert or knowledgable in a certain field or hobby? It's better if you know something about it so you can describe it. If not then you have to do research. Next you have to figure out where to get the stuff to sell. Garage sales, auctions and antique shows are good places to start. Without really looking at the hotlist, I would think things like trading cards, stylish clothes, purses, shoes, jewelry, soap/lotion gift baskets, sports memorabilia, antique books, electronic gadget accessories, etc. would be some ideas I have
