i own a repair shop, and that's not bad time to start its not going to start like a new one,but you might try doing a real good tune up on it that might improve it a lot ,but any vehicle don't start right away the fuel pump has to pump fuel up to it ,and this takes a few seconds,,try tuning it up that cant hurt it,and id say it will do better ,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

The engine needs at least 2-3 turns of the flywheel for the throttle position and crank sensor to kick in and talk to the rest of the electronics before it will fire up, this is normal. On top of that have your car serviced.

There could be a number of reasons. You'll probably need to see a mechanic.
1. Faulty starter
2. Loose wiring
3. Weak battery
4. Clogged fuel pump
5. Fouled spark plugs

This could be a problem of the gas pump. My Jeep 1994 had the same problem. Check the gas pump and that it's fully working. If that's not the problem then it could be the spark plugs.

sounds like your losing fuel pressure over time, check it like this, start it and let it run for a few, then shut it off and wait just a couple of minutes, see how it starts then. if it cranks right up i would check two things, operating fuel pressure ( vehicle running ) if its low remove the vacuum line off of the pressure regulator, if it goes up, or full pressure, then i would look at the pressure regulator, i have seen them bleed off pressure and make vehicles hard to start. just fixed a chrysler van with the same problem. if it doesnt go full pressure ( 45 psi ) change the fuel pump and filter

I would start with a tune up in my opinion that should solve your problem. When you get it just tell them that maby they will have an opinion, but if it is some long expensive thing they are trying to say it is than get some other sources.
good luck.

I would suggest a tune up is in order. plugs...wires...distributor cap and distributor rotor..that shoud do it.
