So there's this new kid in our school, and he's in my Spanish class. I met him there, and I've invited him over to sit with my friends and me at lunch. We've become freinds, and we exchanged screen names. Will people think I'm weird for trying to be nice to a new kid?

no, why would people think your being weird? do they like him?if they didn't they didn't they don't know what he's really like and you do. you should encourage your group of friends to talk to him and at lunch talk about the same topics that you all like so that your friend will think that the new kid is cool and they want to be friends with them. its perfectly natural to make new friends,even if its a new kid because yo never know how this person will mean alot to you. i be came friends with this new kid in school when i was in 2nd grade and ever since we are tight. i don't think your weird, and you are trying to be nice once you continue to act like that with everyone, everyone knows you as that nice kid and want to be with you... if the group of boys are really your fiends they wouldn't make you look like a fool for making new friends because they don't know how to be a friends,,.....oh and be yourself , life's little lesson you can't act like others planning to become someone your not, just acting the way that you would and do takes you so much further because you are not lik everyone else, thanks what make you unique and you!!! bueno suerte!! that means good luck

Naw, it's good to be nice to the new kid....if u were the new kid wouldn't u want someone being nice to u? There u go...I'm nice to the new kids too and no one thinks I'm weird for that.

Of course not! It's always cute to be nice ;) That's how you meet people, and make friends. People will really respect you for being accepting, and treating people with kindness. I love nice guys.

They shouldn't, you would want people to talk to you if you just moved and started going to a new school-keep being nice it is a good thing.
