I'd have to say Ray Allen. There are a lot of other great shooters from the past such as Larry Bird, Walter Davis, Reggie Miller, Rick Barry, Isiah Thomas, Kevin Johnson, Jim Paxson, John Stockton, etc. And even now, Michael Redd, J.J. Redick, Richard Hamilton, Allan Houston, Kyle Korver, etc. I've watched all of em', but Ray Allen has the "purest shot". If you just watch him, his shot just looks so easy. His release is perfect and fairly quick. And looking at it, it just looks so natural, a thing of beauty. Not only does his shot look nice, but he has one of the highest FG%'s. Ray Allen, the "purest" shooter in nba history.

Of all time the purest was none other then Larry Bird but as of now since Reggie Miller retired I can't say him...but the one today would be Ray Allen a lot of people would also say Michael Redd but he isn't as smooth as Allen and you do have to give Peja some love he's not bad...I would say he is better then Redd but not Allen....Ray Allen tody all time Larry Bird

Man, that's tough. It's between Larry Bird and Ray Allen. Larry was one of the all-time greatest, but for pure stroke, I don't think you can get any sweeter than Ray Allen.

it's gotta be ray allen. he's gonna go down as the best pure shooter ever, he's already second on the list of all-time 3-pointers, and has the record for most threes in a season
