About a week ago my 16 month old sons testicles started with some red blotches. I figured that it was just the diaper rash that he had at the time. But now, both of the testicles are red and so is his penis. The diaper rash is cleared. I've been cleaning "them" every diaper change and giving him a bath everyday cause it looks uncomfortable. His testicles even feel harder then they should. I know this is strange, and hopefully yahoo won't remove the question before I get some advice from someone whose child may have had the same problem??

Sounds like either a yeast infection or perhaps jock itch. (And, yes...I never thought it could happen to a little one...but alas, it happened to my son.) If you can't get him to the doctor...some doctor's see baby's on Saturday...try getting some anti-fungal cream. (Most any drug store or Wal-Mart type store has a good generic). Hope that this helps! Good luck.

To be safe take him to the docs, but my son had a diaper rash like that once too. He's probably fine. There are different types of diaper rash, and you may have cleared one but not this one. The best thing I did and do for him is let him air out. After I take off his diaper I just leave it off for a few min (with another one ready for when/if he starts to pee) Good luck to you both (also if he's not complaining about it it probably isn't buggging him, my doc said that it doesn't ussaully, only when it's REALLY bad.)

You definitely need to get him checked. I have three sons and they have never experienced anything like this. The best word would be from a doctor.

It's caused from a yeast infection. My grandson had it happen. The doctor gave my daughter prescription med for it & it went away.
