Try getting up in the morning and going to the bathroom mirror, see yourself. Only this time take the time to see who you are instead as the bogus image you have of yourself.
Don't think this will work, try coming home at the end of the day, go to the bathroom mirror and see yourself - you will probably be amazed how different you look?
People often live in a individualized and very personal box of perpetual boredom. This usually takes one to the gates of suicide. Try stepping out of the box by doing something you always wanted to do but never did. Then try another something you always wanted to do, over and over and explore different options, you may, like Clint Eastwood said in one of his 'Dirty Harry' movies come to know who you are and your limitations.
Works for me.

Stop taking shìt from people. Be honest with yourself about anything. You'll probably go through a bad stage in your life after which you'll realize that a lot of people are anxious and therefore have trouble being themselves. But at the same time you have to realize that you (probably) have a personality, and you're just not exposing it to other people (or yourself.) For instance, you probably like certain songs or movies that other people don't, but you may be too ashamed to admit it.

If you really don't know yourself then you have to get out and experience new things. Get as far away from your present life as you can. This way you can find out what truly inspires you. But be aware that you may end up finding out that there is a lot more of you in your present life than you think.

Sit down and write out everything about yourself of which you can think. Don't try to do it in one sitting. Take a few days, even. You will soon generate a list of who you are, what you like, what interests you, what turns you off, et cetera. You may find it there. You might try writing down things from your past that impacted you to greater degrees than other things. My guess is there is a single event in your past that has brought you to this point. You need to identify it before you can act to improve your present-day life.
