I am LOST! Did they kill Ecko and does it mean that cloud was angel of death?

so angel of death is dark for bad people and light for good people (like the handicapped guy)

I think John said he saw the "eye of the island" too, just like Ecko and he said to him not to be afraid cause it was a bright light. Then Ecko said it wasnt what I saw! and as he died he said you are next...

Ecko is definitely dead now, but we don't know what the hell that black cloud was. I think it has some sort of philosophical meaning behind it, like it's the demons of his past, because he stared them down before, but the fact that it physically killed him kind of shows it has a more tangible "explanation" as well, we just won't know what that is for quite a while I'm sure. This whole show never answers a question, it just shows you something that gives you ten new questions you didn't have before.

Yep Mr. Ecko is dead....RIP.....but I am not sure what killed him, that black cloud thing grabbed him and flung him around, I guess it could have been the angel of death. That black cloud thing has been in LOST since season one I think. Those people that survived in the tail part of the plane have some bad luck!

I know that they killed Ecko. My theory is that the black cloud is actually the spirit form of his brother or something to do with him and that when he had the "vision" about his brother and told him that he wasn't going to ask forgiveness that his brother became mad. Of course, it could just be another "weird" creature on the island.

I'm LOST!!!!!!!!!! I didn't think that, but now that you said it maybe? Anythings possible. In my opinion, I thought Mr. Eko died & that the cloud was not the angel of death because how many angels of death do you know that swing you from tree to tree smashing you? I've not seen the cloud be light not even for good people?
