With enough metal stock, spare parts and a welder, you can mount ANYTHING onto ANYTHING.

Yes, you can. The only question I would have is, why? You can make a go kart with a manual transmission by using a motorcycle engine, I have even seen some made with a small car motor and transmission. As far as telling you, that would depend on what you are trying to accomplish. Is this going to be for the dirt, or is it going to be for the street? Do you have the necessary tools and skills to build it? Let me know what your intentions are and I can give you more info to help you.

to tell u the truth..im making a gokart myself.and i was wondering the SAME exact thing.but im keeping it simple with the engine in the back and a centrifugal clutch
