I'm British, We Don't Celebrate Guy Fawkes Failing, We Celebrate The Fact That He Got Caught. We Didn't Want The King To Die.
We Didn't Want Him To Blow Up Parliament.

It Was All An Act Of Treason, We Don't Celebrate "Utter Failures" , We Celebrate The Opposite! I Hope My Message Has Gotten Across.

Thank You.

The king that Guy Fawkes was trying to kill was James 1, But he was Scots, being King James VI of Scotland and James I of England at the same time.

DuH! Guy Fox Day. Haven't you ever seen Guy Fox masks? They celebrate Guy Fox because he was a great patriot, trying his best to eliminate a corrupt King and Government, for the peoples benefit. Also you may want to check facts as his intent was not to blow up a King, but to blow up the parliment, and the parliment building. It's amazing how easy it is for some one who is un-informed, and un-educated about a subject, to bash on something that this un-educated person does not understand. Try doing research about a subject before deciding how to feel about a certain subject. The more you know!

I think he actually was going to blow up parliament, not the king.

This is what is referred to in the movie V for Vendetta.

I would rather celebrate failures than re-elect them.

That is the guy I was trying to think of thanks Cuke man! When they were asking questions about Halloween I remember him from the History Channel special about the holiday and how the English are incorporating Halloween traditions on that day which is either Saturday or Sunday...cause it is so close to Halloween...
