Because Letterman doesn't have the intelligence and knowledge to actually engage in a conversation of equals with O'Reilly. The only thing Letterman knows is what's on his cue cards or what his 20 paid joke writers have already laid out for him to ad lib. He is over the hill and a typical main stream media liberal hack who loves Streisand and Jane Fonda and any perky, cute, skin-baring starlet who comes on his show. He's fluff. O'Reilly's tough.

Letterman being rude to O'Reilly is like a thorn in an elephant's side. Letterman can not debate politics with O'Reilly so he is rude. Let Letterman get on this YA site if he wants RUDE!

Letterman, is like most press liberal. Why do you care, O'Reilly is perfectly capable of handling himself. You have to if you are in the politics game.

I saw the follow-up interview with O'Reilly. He said that he's glad Letterman acted the way he did as it showed people the difference between knowing...and thinking you know the subjects they discussed. Sorry I missed it! :)

He's just pandering to his acid-dropping neanderthal audience. Let's face it, Letterman is a Jay Leno wannabe with a third of the talent and a fifth of the intelligence. "I hope I get to call him Bonehead." Letterman is the last person who should be commenting on another man's intelligence seeing that he's only half a percentage point abouve a spider monkey.

This video discredits O'Reilly's main argument that Saddam was connected to the manufacture of Risen in northern Iraq and Great Britain...it was a perfect example of the manipulation by the Administration and their lack of real evidence for invading Iraq. O'Reilly is so obviously a part of the machine disseminating dis-information to American citizens.

Whats the matter. He can dish it out so why can't he take it.
Dave was just giving Bill a taste of his own medicine.
If that is a bitter pill maybe he should wash his mouth out with soap. (billy O that is)

Dave doesn't suffer fools very well, and good old boy Bill certainly qualifies as a prime example.
