Hell no! Cardio is for strengthening your heart and cardiovascular system.

Warm up.
Flexibility.
Strength.
Cardio.
Stretch.

Put all these together for your physical fitness regimen. Then you will build and have the heart to keep up with your girlfriends endurance.

You should probably do cardio only 3-4 times a week and on the other days do weight training. The cardio will help you lose fat and strengthen your heart but it will not increase mass. You have to strength train to do that. Also make sure you are getting enough protein.

The quick answer is "no," however there is much more involved.

If you are doing ONLY cardio with no resistance or weight training, you will not gain mass or bulk up, but you could potentially lose weight and get definition.

If you want "manly" muscles, you will need some sort of weight or resistance training. This could even be using your own body weight by doing push ups, leg lifts, etc.

No. You need to do weight training. And DO NOT do cardio before lifting. Weight training FIRST, cardio SECOND. If you spend all your energy running and stuff, your weight routine will not be effective.

Weight training is by FAR superior to cardio for both building mass AND LOSING FAT.

Cardio is a very good thing to do before weight lifting..

If you want to build mass i reccomend protein shakes or protein bars after or before your work out.
30 mins of cardio and then a hour of weight lifting and core work out is a very good idea.

Protien really helps build mass

also.. if you are 16 or younger it may be hard to gain mass depedning on your body type. If you are young.. you may not see much mass development, unless you are a bigger kid.
