I hear their first few albums are really heavy and have long guitar solos, and then they started releasing albums with kind of a pop sound to them. Which ones do you think are any good?

british steel is the best in my opinion. it has breaking the law which is really rockin, and then living after midnight which is popier.
also screaming for vengeance is another classic. its really really heavy meatl and rocks.
go on rhapsody.com and maybe listen to their songs, to make sure you pick the ne you like the most

I liked "Stained Class", (but its not worth killing yourself over). My favorite album is "Defenders of the Faith" song "The Sentenel"
