It is just as important that I respect the beliefs of other ethnic races as it is for them to respect my beliefs. Respect goes both ways.

Everywhere you go you will find people of other religions or ethnic backgrounds and such. Why should it matter to us/you what they believe in?
The Christian could be laying on the floor with a gunshot wound, would you tell the pagan standing next to you not to touch you because he is a hethen; although he is a doctor? Of course not! Would the atheist walk by an accident, not helping, because there was a cross hanging in the car window? One should hope not! (those religions were pulled at random...nothing meant or implied : just a point-maker)
When it comes to things that really matter in life, we should be able to see past the religious differences. We are all human despite of our different beliefs or skin colors. It's just a choice of morals. We need to teach tolerance instead of ignorance and fear. The more we understand about each other, the easier it will be to learn to get along (if we can do so without the bickering and war, sadly, peace and understanding is a hard thing to spread)

I think you should respect people's beliefs. When they are wrong (yes, beliefs can be wrong) you should not antagonize, but educate. You make more friends with honey, they say.

However, don't be a fool. If another culture has beliefs that violate human rights and you feel compelled to act, then feel free to do so. This situation happens often enough that it warranted mentioning.

Everybody comes from a different ethnic background, that does not make your ethnticity better then others, just different. If you say nasty or embarassing things to people that are different from you, you just show ignorance for their beliefs. it is better to ask questions about why they behave or believe what they do so you can share in their knoweldge, not avoid it with ignorance.

If there is logic in their beliefs, then their beliefs should be respected. If there is no logic, just keep our mouths shut until they give us crap about our beliefs.
