No chance, we tried this back in the 60's with Alfred E.Newman
from Mad magazine and he failed miserably.
He became one of those perpetual candidates that just kept embarrassing himself every 4 years.

Lucky would be a great representive of the Sinn Féin wing of the Irish Republican Army (IRA). He would be a great fund raiser and would use marshmellow bombs instead of genades to express his political fustrastions.
