I'm 13 should I be able to start wearing a little makeup? Not to much just a bit of eyeliner, concealer, and lipstick?

First of all, learn a good cleaning regime for your face. Follow it faithfully. It will reduce breakouts and make your young and beautiful skin look just that much more radiant.

At 13, you really don't need concealer. If your plan is to put it on pimples, it clogs your pores, so it's not a good idea to use it that way. If you have dark circles under your eyes, you may need more sleep.

I would suggest a little bit of mascara on upper lashes (so you can learn not to rub your eyes and keep the smears out from under your eyes) and a light color or clear lip gloss. These 2 items would enhance your natural beauty without harming your skin or making you look too old. (Always brush your teeth before putting on lip gloss!)

Be sure to keep your entire body extra clean during this time of growing into a young woman. A daily bath or shower, and some deodorant will keep you smelling sweet and fresh. Also, pay attention to your hair to keep it oil free and shiny.

Enjoy your youth....soon enough you will NEED more makeup...enjoy the freedom from it while you can.

God bless you!

P.S. Please do not "sneak" and wear makeup if your parents do not allow it....you WILL get caught. Instead, plead your case gently with an adult in your family. Be willing to start light and gradually. Follow their advice, they know you best and want the best for you.

I'm assuming you're parents may not think so...

Some concealer should be fine if it's less about looking sexy and more about trying to hide what could be an embarrassing pimple, spot or mark. I it can help with self esteem. I think it's almost cruel for a parent to force a child to deal with "bad" skin when they know there is a cheap solution out there (though it may make you break out more...)

I don't know about the lipstick or eyeliner. A tinted lip gloss/balm might be better or a natural shade of lipstick. Very little or no eyeliner, maybe next year.

Sadly, a lot of young girls don't have enough experience to use makeup tastefully. You don't want to leave the house looking like a child prostitute. Parents are usually afraid of this. I wore a lot of make up in 7th grade and now that I look back, I looked pretty bad.

Woah! I'm 13. Most of the girls in my grade wear eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipGLOSS. I think that that sometimes ends up as a little too much. I think that the concealer and lipstick is pushing it. I wear only blush (cause I'm really pale), mascara and lipgloss. If your parents are cool with it I guess you can, but go easy on it. When girls our age wear to much makeup they just look like they are wearing costumes.

no just lip gloss the color kind
at 16 then u can wear heavy makeup
if u start now at age 25 you'll need laser , plastic and all kinds of skincare issues you will look old and haggered if u start wearing this crap now
look your 13 because you are still a lil girl
you're not a grown woman when you get 16 an in high school then you can wear a lil more makeup
slow down and enjoy being a girl stop rushing to look older

None of those things. I am 13 too and I have realized something. Only wear a light, fresh-looking eyeshadow. You will wreck your skin if you wear much else. Lipstick? Wear lipgloss. Eyeliner? Why would you want to poke yourself in the eye? Concealer? Only on large zits, not on your intire face. Hope this helps!

If you were my daughter, and you weren't going to a private school that had rules against makeup, I would say "yes" to a little bit of eyeliner, some concealer and lip gloss. Lipstick is really for older girls, I think.

it depends on how you feel about it. you don't want to feel like you have to wear it just because your somewhat over 13. I'm just about the same age as you and i wear some make-up, but not a lot and i made sure i was comfortable with what i'm wearing. some of my friends don't find it important so they don't wear any. It just depends on the person. I mostly wear some because i have breakout more often then my friends, because i'm a bit older than them. But anyway it's up to you and your parents in the end. good luck, been there =)

not lipstick. i'm 17 and i would suggest you wait all together until you're in high school, that's when i started wearing eyeliner.
but honestly, wearing lipstick could make you look older than you are (depending on the color) and if you wear the lipstick for so long and then one day you decided not to, your face may look weird to people because they get so used to seeing you with lipstick.
maybe lipgloss, and if you do wear lipstick, wear a light color, no heavy colors like red

I started wearing a little when I turned 13. Not a lot just mostly a tiny bit of eyeshadow in a light shade. And a little mascara and that was it.

I wouldn't. I stayed with the natural look until I was 22. Its innocent and guys like girls that don't wear to much makeup. maybe start with a light lip gloss and maybe a little concealer just to cover any blemishes or marks. but that's it! stay natural its more beautiful!
