Zell Miller? I can still see him ranting and challenging Chris Matthews to a duel. The man lost his senses and Republicans admire him. LOL.

Zell Miller, retired Georgian, is a true patriot who put the the safety and moral leadership of the USA above his party. As he correctly stated, the Democratic Party today is not the same Party it was 40 years ago.

Although I was only a teenager when John F. Kennedy was President, there is absolutely no current top Democrat today who can hold a candle to him. He was strong on defense - sending Russia packing from Cuba (too bad he didn't go ahead and take out Castro). He understood economics and reduced taxes that caused the U.S. economy to take off. Today's Democrats still think high taxation of every conceivable product, service or labor is still not enough. Or that lower taxes = greater tax revenue because it stimulates the economy - people have more of their own money to spend. They don't understand that I can spend my money better and wiser than they can. JRK was visionary - and put U.S. astronauts on the moon, a remarkable achievement that the USSR could not duplicate. Today's Democratic leadership would impeach him and run him out of the party like Joe Lieberman who is a classic liberal Democratic except that he too sees the danger we are in as a nation.

I live in New York - I'm surrounded by them! I have a lot of friends who are of the left leaning variety; some are very good friends, and yes, I do admire some. I gage people on more than their political affiliation. A good person with good qualities is always to be admired.

Cokie Roberts and Juan Williams aren't politicians, but they are Democrats, and I greatly admire their journalism, and respect their opinions.

Sure - there are democrats that are in fact good people. Unfortunately, most of the truly good people associated with either party are not the ones that end up running for office.

Um, I think she's talking about the WRONG party on that one, i.e. GEORGE BUSH = a person that REFUSES to admit that he is ever or ever will be wrong. Ha! Thanks for the laugh hun!

Not really, I admire people with plans. I admire people who admit when they're wrong, people that proactive, and people who have the mind frame of "take care of your business and stay out of mine." Dems just aren't like that. At least all that I've met/seen on TV aren't.
