In the Book Gospel according to larry Josh says that we feast on celebrities, caring for people who have no idea who we are. How do you feel about this? Should we care about the private lives of our favorite rock stars? If you were a celebrity, how would you handle fame?

What do you think?

There is a saying that comes to my mind by Eleanor Roosevelt.
Great minds discuss ideas.
Average minds discuss events.
Small minds discuss people.

In general the public seems so incredibly fascinated with celebrity gossip. I truly do not understand it. It almost seems like idol worship to me. But I dont think it is wrong to care about them. Caring for other people is always a good thing, regardless of if you actually know them or not. There is never anything wrong with wishing someone well. Caring about them more than the people in your life is just bizarre. I would have to wonder if that type of person is just in love with the ideas of things and not reality,in love with the idea of perfection over the reality of what it means to be human with our all of our flaws and imperfections.

There are a few I might find that I would be able to communicate with. I do not put them on a pedestal like a fan would. I just know the ones I could hit it off with in communication, and if they are not too high and mighty--we could be friends.
I actually seen a celebrity in a local store in a small town one day, the tour bus was unmarked in the parking lot. I did not even say hi, because I could tell, he was in a hurry to get what he needed and get out of there. I did not want to yell and draw attention to this person......I like them as a person even though I do not know them personally. If anyone is curious, it was Jacob Dylan on his way to Little Rock Ar to do a concert with his Dad.

it depends, i cared when Brad left Jen for Angelina, but sometimes i could really care less about whats happening in their personal lives. i guess i only care when its something that cruel which gets my sympathy, or something extremely nice, and then i respect that celebrity (giving lots of money to AIDS, adopting a child, ect). its the celebrities like paris hilton and nicole richie and lindsey lohan whose lives hold absolutley no interest for me

I don;t care at all about any celebratty. Tom can jump on all the couches he wants, P-Hil can lose and find her dog all she wants, Mel can drink and drive all he wants, I don;t care about any of them

Quite frankly none of it is of any concern to me...it gets my attention when a celeb dies or something because that's sad but that's about it.
