Serial Experiments Lain is a great anime: Very different from others: Not much comedy or violence, which are way too common in anime nowadays. It focuses mostly on philosophical or psychological themes, and so makes you ask yourself some deep questions about life and reality.

I don't really think it can be compared to any other anime... its been called weird and bizarre by many critics (and also appraised by others)... but I would recommend it to anyone who likes that kind of stuff... everything in it is great, starting with the opening sequence and song!

I enjoyed that anime too. I watched it over the summer season. i think of that the favourite topic of Serial Experiments Lain replaced into id and actuality. First, actuality isn't all it may seem. i think of one message of the anime sequence is that people could desire to attempt to look for a deeper meaning in existence than connect with what's transitory. seem at Lain, case in point. incredibly of being preoccupied with what replaced into actual mutable, she replaced into extra concentrated (extra like obsessed) on what replaced into genuine, the under pressure out. nevertheless it replaced into an unusual obsession, it wasn't a mistake. Lain concentrated on what replaced into genuine and what replaced into substantial. yet another topic replaced into id and no remember if each and everything existed or no longer. If actuality is a hologram, then what each and everything incredibly is could be noted as into question. We see this while Lain, slightly application, questions what she incredibly is by way of the sequence and not in any respect reaches an answer. considering the fact that she is slightly application which could substitute what seems to be like actuality, what she is, additionally, could be noted as into question. "who's Lain?" she asks. interior the tip, the only element she is familiar with for effective is which you do no longer exist if no person recollects you, so she makes it that way. it incredibly is somewhat unhappy that, by capacity of the tip, Lain nevertheless won't be able to hit upon her id. i in my view enjoyed that sequence. It replaced into very deep. by capacity of ways, has every physique ever suspected that Lain Iwakura must be distantly concerning Prince Iwakura Tonomi of Japan? He replaced into, partly, in charge for a journey to different international places with some scholars interior the 1800s to check Western customs. in basic terms questioning.

I love this anime, but I wont say it is for everyone. It is an anime that you have to think about as you watch it, it isn't just a bunch of "over" violence or comedy gags. Still if you are into anything related to philosophy or psychology it is worth watching. It is similar to animes like Hack://Sign and Boogiepop Phantom.
