financing more nuclear reactors for north korea. abortions for your kids (new and improved - no parental consent!), more welfare and social programs to help people stay poor, and voter registration drives for felons, illegal aliens and cemeteries. a multi-billion $ reparations package for all the brave freedom fighters (terrorists) that those mean republicans fought a war against.

What they usually use the money for.....something that makes them look better in their own home state. For example....they may want to build more parks or create trails in their home state. That would be a good example.
A bad example would be to add more budgetary monies to the State coffers for Welfare. But it would make them (dems) feel like they did something to better the less fortunate. They really don't care that that money is going for booze and cigarettes (and back to the state in taxes).
In my humble opinion, if they are going to raise taxes they should put the money towards items that a MAJORITY of citizens will be able to use....not the MINORITY. But the dems just don't get that, do they??

Dems wouldn't raise taxes generally but if they do it would be to pay off the high debt compiled by the republicans.

Well, our state got a teapot museum that cost $425,000.
Boy! it has made life much better.
I think the pork barrel wishes would be filled. More money wasted on unnecessary things.

Don't forget that this administration has had the largest domestic spending increase since LBJ.
It ain't hard not to raise taxes when you can run a record debt.

Lets see--paying down the deficit, paying off the money we've borrowed from China, paying to rebuild/cleanup Iraq, paying for health care for all the newly disabled veterans we now have, paying for development of renewable energy sources, and maybe lollipops?

This is one of the great lies being told right now in campaign rhetoric. There is no grand plan regarding taxes by the Democratic party, save for rolling back the special tax cuts awarded to the wealthiest people and corporations in America. For every small tax cut given to middle and lower class families over the past six years, there have been far greater cuts given to the wealthy.

Contrary to the Repub's BS they are spouting, the Dems will not be raising taxes in the middle class. They will be repealing those tax cuts that the rich have been getting.
