I am happy for them, but often it reminds me of the multitude of stupid choices I have made that have put me where I am.

I will answer your question in the opposite: I am a genuinely happy person 24/7 but I do feel uncomfortable around people who are unhappy or just plain miserable. They want to sulk about all the bad things that happened to them in their life, so I let them. I just dont stick around to listen. Either youre miserable or happy, but it's your choice, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES!

Very comfortable, and try to learn from them the wonderful secret for that happiness. When I was 20, I learned it from a man of 60. Since then, I voluntarily pass it on to anyone else.

I am okay with it as long as they do not try to impose that on me and prod me as to why I am not so HAPPY like them. I want to see others genuinely happy

Perhaps i wouldn't be, but I'm almost genuinely happy, and i share it whenever the opportunity arises

Yes I do. It helps me to be around people that are in an up mode when I am down.

That all depends if they are sharing that happiness or simply gloating on it. If it is shared, then yes, as sometimes that's the hook to dragging me out of my own slump.
