I can't ever remember the publisher but I seem to think the group he was in were kind of vigilantes... Ninja like outfit... not sure if grey and black or what the color scheme was... pls. help if you can.

The art reminded me of X-force, but i am not sure where he is from.

If he was a DC character who looked like Deadpool, it is probably Deathstroke, the Terminator.
Deathstroke (AKA Slade Wilson) had a black and orange suit, wick had a similar look to Wade Wilson. (Deathstroke also wore a blue color scheme during his own series) As well as similar names....
There was recently a more "Deadpool Parody" version of Deathstroke in a very recent Superman/ Batman Annual.

If it is not Deathstroke, try Deadlock. He was a memeber of "Bloodstrike" by Image Comics, back in the early 90's. He wore grey and red and looked something like a cross between Wolverine and Deadpool. I cannot find a good pic of him though and tried for about an hour.... sorry.

Sounds like Deathstroke the Teminator, a Dc comic character originally an adversary of the Teen Titans
