Use Clock Arithmetic.

11:25pm = 23:25

6:03 - 23:25 = -17:22

take 24:00 - 17:22 = 6:38

In this case of Clock Arithmetic, all values are between 0:00 and 23:59. If not, you have to adjust by 24 hrs.

hint: unit circle concept

-270 deg = 90 deg

you take 360 - 270 = 90

Since this happened between two different days, you can't just subtract. An alternative would be counting with your clock. :)) lol
This is counting with days: (assuming November 4) (use 24 hours: 11+12 = 23)

dd hh:mm:ss
04 06:03.00
- 03 23:25:00
_____________
6h 38m
You could use MS Excel for this one >:)

day hour minute
n+1 6 03
n 23 25

to calculate the minute
25 from 63 leaves 38 (carry 1)

to calculate the hour
24 from 30 leaves 6 (carry 1)

to calculate the day
(n+1) from (n+1) leaves 0

so 0 days, 6 hours, 38 minutes

you find out how many hours ago it happened and multiply it by 60. if you need hours then you divide that number by 60.
