Gary Jule’s “Mad World” from the “Donnie Darko” soundtrack, his version of the Tears for Fear’s song of the same name, has been used in countless emo scenes in countless US drama serials and movies. Now it has shown up in an ad for XBox 360’s “Gears of War” - a first-person shooter game.

Gary Jules - Mad World. Covered for the movie Donnie Darko, which I highly recommend. It was originally done by Tears for Fears and was also covered by Evergreen Terrace who did a heavier version. It is just as good though.
