yes you will be ok. If possible try to get it out. try drinking something hot to soften it up a bit and see what happens.
I got a popcorn kernel stuck between my gums and teeth but I got it out and it took awhile.

Does that not just piss you off, here you are just loving the chips and jab! It's like the stupid diet fairy has shot you in the mouth!! Wounds in your mouth take time to heal because it's always wet!! They are also easily infected. Make sure to rinse your mouth with water after you eat until it heals to keep it clean. It probably would hurt (it will hurt physically) to rinse with listerine a couple times a day too! Good luck! I'm currently nursing a cut on the roof of my mouth from a sucker!

Yep. It just takes time to heal. However, if you are concerned, you could see a doctor.

I did that with taco chip in my throat when I was 16 - took about two-three months before it felt normal again.

Yeah, if you damaged nerves, they take longer to heal than just skin damage. If in two to three weeks have gone by, I would then call my dentist and ask him. If you have tenderness at all after about a week, I would call him immediately.
