well lots of girls look cute with glasses, also the braces will give you beautiful teeth and a great smile goes a long way, also you arent finished growning yet so you might still grow taller, but if not its ok, lots of girls are petite and look nice even if they are short. The chubby thing, well around the puberty ages girls tend to gain some weight but its normal, just try not to eat junk food and eats lots and lots of vegetables, and give it all you got in gym class ;) we women tend to see ourselves chubbier than we really are sometimes, but if it bothers you still, try jogging in the mornings (or whenever you have time) dont worry about it so much though these are just part of growing pains. By 20 you will be waaaaay more confident than you are at 16, I know! I remember how that was!

In my opinion, most people who are wearing braces don't need them at all. They wear them simply because the dentists suggest so. You probably one of them. If you don't want to show glasses you may choose to wear contact. I wear glasses myself and I think it can be part of your fashion statement. There are different glasses out there. Choose a stylish one. If you are a bit full figure and short you may some mature and stylish clothes - stylish clothes for the twentish-years-olds.
I know you are going through an "ugly duckling" stage. You'll look better when you are 20ish because you are more mature then and you don't need to dress and pretend to be one.
All the best to you and good luck.

yeah, im kind of going through that too. im 13 and have braces, and used to have glasses but now have contacts. trust me, i really dont think its going to stay for long, you cant have braces forever! and there's always laser eye surgery. i feel better about my braces because a lot of kids my age have them too. after we all get out of this phase, we can really blossom.

hope this helps, i have low self-esteem and the only thing i can do is look on the bright side in the future where things will change

by twenty you'll start to either lose the baby fat and etc and you'll change your fashion style because you'll be picking your style
but at age 16 i had a part time job and i didn't have to have mom buying my clothes anymore so i was styling myself and i became the un ugly duckling by 15
meaning - still getting good grades all A's
dressing nice and lady like
makeup
made sure i had good grooming habits meaning wash ya butt, comb and styled hair , had skincare regimen, drink plenty of water, and kept reading different books and learning new stuff from adults (responsible adults not the ones obsessed with partying and etc) but just enjoying life and became less shy etc.

Your braces will come off soon I hope, then you won't feel self-conscience about that. Invest in some contacts (they even come in different colors now, fun to experiement). With the money saved from leaving the calories alone (pop, candy, etc.) the contacts would pay for themselves. Soon you'll be a knockout, but it takes work, work, work. It's worth it honey.

Have you ever heard the story of the ugly duckling that turned into a beautiful swan. Have confidence in yourself, if you have the want, you will have the how.

Well all i know is that you should work out. Also you are the age of getting contacts, unless you look nice with glasses. Also the bracess don't count. Also don't worry, in the future almost everyone is happy.

It's hard to know, but try to imagine yourself with a stronger jaw, great teeth and wearing the clothes you can afford to wear (that aren't dictated by your parents' values). Your hair is as long as you want it, not as long as is fashionable in high school. You're as thin as you have time to exercise.

If you can wear what you want and do what you want, a lot of the time that's what you make of yourself. :)
