Does a studio audience add funiness?

It helps them with their timing especially if they are stand up comedians.

It helps their timing as well as fuels their jokes. Sometimes an audience member brings a joke or bit to mind that would have been set aside during that particular show. But I think that a true comedian finds the funny all on their own and just uses the audience to fuel their love of comedy. The whole point is making people laugh, and in order to do that, they have to know what the people want to hear.

A studio audience adds the element of response. Laughter to a comedian is stimulating....in answer to your question....no all comedians do not need a "STUDIO AUDIENCE" to be funny, But they certainly need some audience whether it be family, Friends or both. Anyone who's attention the comic can hold long enough to provoke laughter will normally do...

I think it's better for a comedian to have an audience . How would you judge if you are funny or not.

Well, if they're a amateur, I owuld say yes to bring up their confidence, but if they're well-known and an expert, then I don't think they would need to then.
