All kids are monsters in their own territories. I know that for a fact; my son seems to be PERFECT in publis, but when we get home and he is writing on the walls with crayon...I could go on forever.
If he's just actingup like a normal kid, don't worry. He'll grow out of it. But if you are concerned about something in particular he says or does, maybe counseling would help, or a different approach to discipline.

depends on what he is doing, is he hurting the family pet, you, your spouse, whatever. My parents could take my sister and I any where and not worry about how we would behave, we were angels too. At home we would be little devils. He may very well be acting as a normal child. Think back to your childhood...how did you act outside of the house? what did people say to your parents about you? How did you act at home? my guess is there is no reason to worry.

I'd rather he acted out at home than out in public.Try asking him which response he likes better, then why? This should lead to a great father son discussion

HIYA at last a dad who dosent think his child is perfect,
WE all know how they can be BUT a load of parents say they are good when there NOT, but dont worry, a load of kids go through this stage, he WILL grow out of it, but at least hes good when he goes out,

Hide a video camera & catch him in action... then if you wish, you could prove it to the world.
Show him the behavior that you capture on video... let him see how badly he behaves... maybe it'll change him some.
He knows what he can & can't get away with at home... don't let him get away with behaving differently at home... if he can behave well in public, he can also behave well at home.

Don't worry about it. Who really cares what people think?
