Does anyone know how to get rid of the Beeps on Verizon Wireless phone lines?

Ok what I mean by this is..... I have Verizon Wireless. When I’m on the phone and someone else is calling though to me, they will hear a ring followed by beep. This lets the other person know that I’m on the phone. How do I stop it from beeping?

The other way is to call VZW customer service and ask them to permanently remove the call waiting feature.

The only way is this...

Can I disable Call Waiting? Yes, you can disable it temporarily by pressing *70 before dialing a number.

Call *611 and tell them.
