I always vote on the most vital issue of the day. But I do believe in a strong defense. I have been following that Islamic militancy phenomena since the late 70's and those guys might be nuts but they are serious about their goal. I am not in denial about that so I now vote republican. Appeasement just puts things of for little while.

I have usually voted for the independent party candidate in the past, but here in Minnesota. I have no choice but to vote for the republican party. I think they have a much better platform than what the democrats are offering, and the independent party candidate dossnt have a prayer.

I always vote on issue and who is most suited for the job. I never vote to be part of any club. I do my duty as a citizen and vote for candidates that I feel will make this country a better place than it already is to live in.

I have done so and will do so again under the right circumstances, just not right now. The secret code phrases of the ruling party seems to be:

"Get into your pockets what you can now and hurry."
"Shred and burn all the evidence you can--pronto!"

Blog news item:

"A Wonkette reader snapped this photo on of a document shredding truck headed to Dick Cheney’s compound at the Naval Observatory on Oct. 19. Perhaps coincidentally, the truck is operated by the same company the Secret Service contracted with for “Pickup & Destruction Of Sensitive Waste Material.”

Alas, it seems the days that a conservative democrat could get the party nomination are gone. Nobody but liberals get to be on the democratic ticket. As long as that continues, most republicans will vote the GOP ticket.

Absolutely. Stay away from straight ticket voting. My Poly SCI professor pounded it into our head... Both parties are filled with scum. Take a look at the news a few months before and up until the election, and you will see this every time!

Of course. Not doing so defeats the purpose of Democracy. Don't vote for the candidates that people tell you to vote for; vote for people who will represent your views the most. Duh, common sense. For the presidential election in 08 I've already decided to vote for the republican candidate unless my party can get their act together and fix their absurd policies on amnesty.

Naturally since I am an independent. Only thing is that I co not see any prominent democrats that hold the same convictions (on the important issues) as I do.

Certainly,

The best candidate for the job is not always of the same party to which I am registered.

Sure, I would. Everyone needs to study who's running and think long and hard before they vote.
