First of all, the name is Ţepeş. Well , there are more theories about it, some say that we`re in the bed(they deny the existence of a spirits/soul) others say that our astral body is out of body, others say that the astral body is in the physical body and the dreams are just imagination, or others may say that we(our astral bodies) are in a some sort of altered reality created by our mind... now, you decide for yourself what to believe..

When we dream we are outside of the conscious world, known as the subconcious. You are still inside your mind (unless of course you know how to astral project). You are just at a different level of the mind. And do not confuse the mind with the brain, these are two very different things. If you are still unsure, and because I don't exactly give the best answers, I recommend you read Carl Jung or Freud. They are men who studied the unconscious, subconscious and conscious minds. They also devoted much of their time searching for the meaning of dreams. Good luck!

REM state. That's Rapid Eye Movement state of sleep. Your brain is not asleep but a somewhat random firing of cells in your brain is occurring. The momentary images are created from these synaptic impulses. They only last a very short time even if they seem to have lasted longer when you awake. You are not anywhere other than where are when you are asleep. It may seem like reality but it's only in your mind.

We are in an unconcious state of our mind, in where we can create our own world and do anything we want in it. If you figure out you're in a dream (which is hard) you can do anything you want. Try it. I flew once. Dreams are based on our own feelings and desires

someone told me that if you dream you meet someone, your soul is actually having this meeting with the other person's soul.
I watched Six Sense and when Willis (as the dead person) talked to his wife when she was asleep and she answered, I realized that this can happen.

In the deepest reaches of your unconscious mind. You could, literally, believe you are anywhere your mind can imagine.
