Can you talk to your mom? Ask her when she got hers, that's a good time line for you.

If you're concerned ask your mom to take you to the doctor. Some girls don't get their period until 16-17. The doctor can do a blood test to see if you're "normal".

Check it out with your doctor next time you go in for something, like a regular checkup. I'm sad to say that it is unlikely anyone will get worried about this until you are going on 17. That seems like a long time to wait right now, I know.

My daughter is 13 1/2 and hasn't got hers yet. She was initially a bit upset, but now all her friends have it, and my daughter's chest is still growing, and her friends' have basically stopped, so she's thinking if it gets put off another year, she might get another cup size out of it.

If you've never had it, there could be many causes (including pregnancy, hormone problems, etc.) that need evaluation by a health provider.

If you have had it before, you could either be irregular or pregnant. Irregular at your age is not uncommon, but only you know if the other possibility exists.

Don't worry!

I got my period a week after turning 13, however, I have twin sisters, and neither of them got theirs until they were nearly 16! They were just late bloomers . . . always tiny and thin, and they just developed a little bit behind schedule.
