I started my period on Oct 30-Nov 3. My cycle is every 28 days, always on time. When would be the best time to start trying to get pregnant? Also, sex everyday or every other day, a few days before or on my ovulation day? Thank you.

On average, women with a 28 day cycle will ovulate 10-16 days after the first day of your cycle. Some people ovulate later than that time frame though. Doctors have told me there is no harm in sex everyday when trying to conceive. Try to have sex every or every other day during Cycle day 10-18 just to be sure. You are most fertile 2 days before and the day you ovulate. Also, do not "try to save up" and not have sex much the week before, studies have shown that lack of ejaculation can actually lower the sperm count. Good luck!

I would start trying to get pregnant between Nov. 8-22. This would give you the best range of time to hit the egg just right before your next cycle kicks in. Also, I would recommend sex only every other day, since that gives the body some time to respond to the intercourse of the night before. Plus, you don't want to over do it, because you want the healthiest semen possible to impregnante the egg. This allows better quality semen to regenerate in the male, and not only that, but stonger semen which will give them a better chance at winning the race to the egg. So in sum, every other day between about Nov. 8-22. Best of luck!

The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

You'll probalby ovulate around Nov. 13, so try a few days before that. I've heard every-other day is best, but I'm not positive about that.

Good luck!
