No but he has the right to defend himself...doesn't matter how big or small the woman is. And, he also has the right to file for assault charges on her.

No, a man does not have a right to hit a woman. Having said that, a wife does not have a right to hit a husband even if she's a lot smaller. Granted in most cases she can't put "the hurt" on him, but its still abusive and usually physical violence begets physical violence. I would say keep your hands off each other!

there can be no excuse for abuse of any kind. if one believes and acts like its completely unacceptable, the other person who wants to head in that direction soon leans, not to, abuse starts by one person forgiving and letting the first time ago. for the abuser it becomes easier the next time because they got off. no abuse is acceptable conduct, if its cut off at he knees when it starts it can be stopped before it gets much worse. the problem with most people who end up either being an abuser or an abused person is the fact that its been handled in the first place with no real consequence. hold the abuser from the start accountable legally and morally and it stops. size does not matter any hitting unless disciplining children is abuse. unless your being paid to hit IE boxing. physical and verbal abuse can be stopped by walking away as fast as you can from the situation. both parties have to do this, this allows their temper which they have lost control of time to cool down. abuse starts out in anger, control it and there is no abuse.

He should have witness`s though .
Women do lie about this and I have seen many men go to jail because of a womans lie .
Why does a woman think she has a right to hit a man and that he does not have the right to retaliate.
Do you know that women physically abusing the husband is growing everyday .
Most men are ashamed of it ,because they don`t defend themselves.

that should never take place first of all, but i do think that if someone hits you first you have all the right to hit that person back, I mean what is a person supposed to do? let another beat up on them, I dont think so! But i think that a husband or wife that doesnt respect their spouse, (hitting them is a major disrespect) shouldnt be together.

I am not sure either have the right to be hitting each other. But certainly, if the wife is hitting the husband, he has a right to defend himself. I would say, these two both need counseling.

I always say that if a woman wants to hit a man she should expect it back. I don't think a man should not defend himself because she is a woman. However, I dont' think a man should hit a woman first.

What if the wife was abused as a child & can't always control her anger & hits him once w/ out relizing what she was doing, and soon as she does, breaks down crying, feeling like sh*t, appologizing, appologizing alot, but the husband still holds it against her, even though she still feels like crap for letting that happen. Still holds it against her years later & she always feels the same regret for doing it and apologizes with the same sincerety. Does he have a right to hold it against her?

I think that if a person raises their hand to another then they should expect to be hit back. Enroll in anger management.
