Yes, life.
There is currently some legislation in the works changing supreme court justices impeachment standards... making it easier. I watched two US S.Court justices on two different PBS shows recently speaking out against that legislation.

The judges of the U.S. Supreme Court serve for life, in theory. There are several ways that period might be shortened. One is if they are removed for cause--malfeasance in office, treason,
and several other crimes could cause such a removal. Apart from that consideration, their mental or physical fitness might be challenged for cause. And they can retire, give up the post or decide to quit because of personal reasons, poor health, mental or emotional illnesses or any other excuse. This has seldom if ever happened, unfortunately; and many minds consider 'service for life", regardless of why someone was chosen or how well or badly they have performed in this office, to be a terrible idea. One desperately in need of fixing.

They are appointed for life, though they may step down or retire at any time. The reason for the lifetime appointment is to ensure that their judgements are not affected by the current political climate or administration. They may be impeached if convicted of bribery, treason, or other high crimes and misdemeaners. No Supreme Court justice has ever been impeached.

They serve for as long as they want, and they want to serve longer than before.
