See I have a debit card that i get child support on so I was wondering if you could put things on lay away on line. On line would be the best way for me to shop since my 4 year old goes everywhere I go. Is the walmart registry anything like layaway? Please Help. Thanks

The walmart registry is like a gift registry. I saw a sign in walmart the other day saying that walmart is going to quit having layaway anyway. I think like the end of the month is the last you can put anything on layaway.

WalMart is discontinuing lawaway. The last date to put something in is November 19 and they must be picked up by December 8. The question is basically moot because there will be no more layaway. The exceptions to this are jewelry and vision. I don't know if it is offered online, but I doubt it. Regardless, any layaway has to be picked up by December 8th.

I don't think they do that any more.

Here in Kansas City they have phased out layaway since credit cards are basically layaway.

Best advice: unless you desperately need it, save the money for it instead of putting it on layaway.

Why would you bother with layaway anyway. Just do ship to store and be done with it Layaway has fees.

I thought Wal-Mart said they were gonna stop doing layaway. I'm not sure if it's in effect yet, but they were supposed to stop at some point in the near future.

You may want to call your local Wal-Mart, but I believe they are closing their layaway departments and will no longer be doing layaways.
