Sounds like depression.
Depression is a very common condition that is believed by many experts to be the number one cause of disability in the world. In the U.S.,17% of people will experience depression at some point in their lives. An estimated 19 million people in the U.S. are currently suffering from depression. Depression is more common in women then in men, with 25% of women suffering from depression severe enough to warrant treatment at least once during their lifetime.
It’s important to remember that depression is an illness that affects both the body and mind. It is not something that we can just wish away or “snap out of”, nor is it a sign of a weak character. The good news about depression is that almost everyone suffering from this condition can be helped with treatment, so it is important to recognize the signs and symptoms of depression.
According to the U.S. National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), the main symptoms and signs of depression are the following:
-Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" mood
-Feelings of hopelessness, pessimism
-Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness
-Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex
-Decreased energy, fatigue, being "slowed down"
-Difficulty concentrating, remembering, making decisions
-Insomnia, early-morning awakening, or oversleeping
-Appetite and/or weight loss or overeating and weight gain
-Thoughts of death or suicide; suicide attempts
-Restlessness, irritability
-Persistent physical symptoms that do not respond to treatment, such as headaches, digestive disorders, and chronic pain
If you have been experiencing several of these symptoms to a degree that they have impaired or affected your life, talk to your doctor. He or she can help you find out whether or not you are suffering from depression and direct you to appropriate resources for treatment and recovery.
Treatment of depression may include antidepressant medication, professional counseling such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, or a combination of the two.
Professional counseling may be all that you need for mild to moderate depression.
If your early symptoms are severe, your initial treatment most likely will include both antidepressants and professional counseling.
Hospitalization may be necessary if you show warning signs of suicide, such as thoughts or plans about harming yourself or another person, detachment from reality (psychosis), or excessive use of alcohol or drugs.

I think you have a very special way of looking at the world and deep inside you, you seek for things with deeper spiritual meanings. You can probably see that such activities are just wordly affairs that only brings temporal joy. I used to be like that. I'd go out, have fun, but when I got home I was bored again. So I began to seek for eternal happiness.
Try studying a religion, or perhaps get involve in charity and help the lives of others. I can assure you, when you help someone and profoundly change their lives, I will bring you the biggest joy, far bigger than cheap thrills at the local night club.
Good luck! I think you really have a promising future!

It could be any number of things. Maybe you're suffering from depression. Or maybe you need to find something new to try. Somtimes if you fall into a predictable routine you get bored with it and you might feel like it's just something you have to do because you've always done it.

I have the same problem and I think for me it's because I'm always alone..since my husband works different hours than I do and I'm always tired when he's home and vice versa. We never have money to do anything really fun..and I think it's just put me in a rut. I don't know your situation in life so I'm just assumeing..I'm also older now..so that might have something to do with it.It's not depression in my case..yours??

Try taking a class or maybe starting a business. That should lite your fire. Maybe somethings bothering you deep down. Take some time to reflect on things. When discovering stuff about yourself be extremely honest with yourself. Just remember this will pass.

you need to try something new! go for a trip to the big city
( whatever one is closest to you, or if you live in one), or just take a trip somewhere with some friends. you can have fun, but sometimes doing the same things over again can be a little dull.

You need to either have friends who enjoy those things and maybe it will change your feelings for it in a positive way, or maybe you should try something new and positive, or maybe try a hobby like music making or play-writing.
