What logo shows up?
Because each program that's needed has it's own logo.
When it says that you need a plug-in, click on where the video should be, then click on the button that shows up at the top of the screen.
Go to the site, and grab the full installer. Install it. Done.
Windows machines will say that they need Windows Media Player for a lot of things, and to get WMPlayer you need to install Windows Genuine Advantage.
WGAdvantage is a piracy checking program. WGAdvantage has a nasty habit of saying legit computers are pirated, slows down installations and is a royal pain in the **** to remove.
Firefox is available to Macs and to Linux and neither of them will run Windows Media Player. You don't need WMP.
On the upside, once you have the plug-in installed you won't have to worry about it for a long, long time.
Also - get t2 add-ons and never seeing a banner ad, flash ad or an iframe ad again? (Remember, pop-ups are already gone):
Adblock Plus - http://adblockplus.org/
Adblock Filterset.G Updater - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1136/

Try uninstalling Windows Media player and then reinstall it, making sure Mozilla is up at the time. Just an educated guess here.

Just go to this link https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/ and install the Add- on. Follow the instruction on the same page. I too had the same problem when I wanted to play a clip on website such as Metacafe.com or youtube.com, Mozzila Firefox would not let me play it. I installed this add- on and I played the clip in Internet Explorer tab.
I think you should also install this Add- on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1122/, in order to work the above add-on
