You could have a few issues. There could be not enough gas supply to the furnace. This needs to be checked by your local gas company. check that the filter is clean, if not, replace. Airflow marked on the filter goes twards the furnace. Make sure that you can see flame inside the furnace when the thermostat is turned up. If no flame, most likely you have an ignitor cracked and it needs to be replaced by a HVAC contractor. Thanks!

You should call a furnance repair person. Your burners might need to be replaced. BTW, while you are down there, make sure your motor is running and not burned out, although this doesn't sound like your problem.

I would leave your furnace to a qualified professional. It could easily cause you severe damage to your home and your health.

If you call the local gas company they will give you a courtesy call. They will recommend what the problem is or who you can call for repairs. The same exists for the local fuel oil company, they usually service what they sell. They it, you might like it.

Youmay have aheat pump if your thermostat has anemergency heat switch,switch it to that,you should get warmer heat,either way get an inspection or service call from a pro.

sorry if this sound stupid,but if you knew the problem ,you could fix it by your self right?
get apro to come and service it asap,leave it off till he comes, better safe than sorry.
i believe it a simply thermal stat
